Heart of Super Tuscan Wine Country
Yoga in Bolgheri
A medieval village famous worldwide for its legendary wines, framed by the iconic cypress-lined avenue that inspired poet Giosuè Carducci.
Bolgheri is where Tuscan winemaking reached new heights. This tiny medieval village, with just a few hundred residents, produces some of the world's most sought-after wines — Sassicaia, Ornellaia, and Masseto among them.
The approach to Bolgheri is unforgettable: a perfectly straight 5-kilometre avenue lined with ancient cypress trees, immortalized in Giosuè Carducci's poem "Davanti San Guido." This Viale dei Cipressi has become one of Tuscany's most photographed roads.
The village itself is a gem — enter through the medieval red-brick archway and discover narrow streets lined with wine bars, artisan shops, and restaurants showcasing the region's bounty. The surrounding landscape of rolling vineyards and olive groves stretches to the nearby Tyrrhenian coast.
Bolgheri sits on the Costa degli Etruschi (Etruscan Coast), where you can combine wine country exploration with beach time. The nearby resort of Marina di Castagneto offers sandy beaches just 10 kilometres away.
Yoga among the vineyards offers a unique experience — practice surrounded by the vines that produce some of Italy's finest wines, then reward yourself with a tasting at one of the legendary estates.
